With it getting closer to 2012 and all wheres the doomsday threads? They used to be way more common? I guess people started the fad to early and everyone got sick of it before it even got here?

2012 DOOMSDAY THREADS

No...Everybody is just watching the Apocalypse Channel...UH,I mean the History Channel and getting their fill their.
Ah, but if we were truly smart, we'd start stockpiling now, before its everywhere in the media and masses of people start running to the stores, only for the stores to be in short supply of the essentials people will need.
Business owners, if youre smart, you'll start increasing supply for survival gear, as in about 9-10 months people are going to start going ape****.
Maybe people finally realized that the Mayan calendar IS A FRIGGIN' CIRCLE and reaching the "end" of it means it starts over.
Seriously. December 21, 2012 is the end of the Mayan long count, which is just one cycle they used to keep track of the passage of time, not the end of the world. The actual numeric values for the Myan calendar don't run out for several hundred years (it's been a while since I read up on this stuff, so I can't remember the exact date, but it's a ways away.)

The earth has been here for what, billions of years, and I'm supposed to believe it's going to end in MY lifetime? Ha! I remember everyone going nuts over Y2K and then the rapture in May. When will people figure out that this is all just stupid hype and stop giving a crap? I agree though, stock up now on essentials because yes, everyone will make a run on the stores at the last minute. Then the stores won't have essentials for several weeks until AFTER Dec 21st and they get a chance to re-stock.

Now if we could only convince the rest of the world, watching way to much History/Discovery fear vision. ( hah hah suckers, watch them commercials, that is what its all about)

Power of suggestion people, if you want the world to end, go ahead and panic and do that. We could make it happen.
Otherwise im here to have fun and ignore the story telling commercial pushers.

I try not to get myself worked up over the whole end of the world stuff. Its interesting to read and hear all the different predictions. But honestly I dont worry about it because theres nothing I can do to stop the world from ending and im not gonna build up a survival kit just to live in some **** hole wasteland for 2 weeks then get eaten by a radioactive mountain lion lol.

Yeah, I didn't mean I in any way believe we're facing down some doomsday augured by some ancient (or recent for that matter) oracle--just that we seem to be, at a species level, blissfully willing to fist**** ourselves into oblivion.
