Do you think the Seguin quote is a swipe? I didn't take it that way at all. Then again, I don't have any emotional ties to the Bruins or Seguin. I thought his comments about Rask were spot on and very complimentary.

Yes, but more in a complementing himself way -the b's were a good third quarter team when I was there and now that I'm gone they aren't - how else could that be read? He said a lot of the right things otherwise but he, understandably enough, was in "I"ll show them that they made a mistake trading me" mode. It is too early to tell, but his trade to the stars was the nhl version of the dodgers taking gonzales, crawford and beckett off the red sox' hands last year. Not as extreme, but a similar feel. It may work out well for the stars, the dodgers went to the NLCS.

I took it as "when I was there, but since I don't play there anymore, I don't know how good they are in the third anymore". I certainly understand your take on it though.

Anyways......Boston has a day to think about it, then Florida shows up.

Ahh the Seguin trade…

It simply had to happen. They/he had burnt the relationship. That said, I truly believe Seguin WILL be a franchise player. And every one will say what a mistake the B's made trading him,,,ext.

The mistake the B's made was not forcing him to home with likes of Bergeron or…I'm not sure who.Someone to mentor and to teach him professionalism. Just like what the Pens did with Crosby. (He lived with Mario).

When the Rangers went up 2-0. I turned the game off. It felt it was going to be "one of those nights", and it was. The Rangers defense was tight, the Pens was not. Lundqvist was sharp. Fleury not so much.

Selanne is back for Anaheim. Yay!

It did have to happen. I recall pictures of him passed out on the sidewalk on Newbury Street after a night of binge drinking....Cam was not too impressed.
He needed to grow up and perhaps the Bruins could have / should've done more, but it was time to cut bait nonetheless in my view.

He did have a "wicked" goal on Tuuka in the shootout the other night. :(

Fights are one thing. Emery skating the length if the rink to take on a goalie he had no need taking on? Classless. But hey, if you can't stop the puck, at least live up to the name Broad Street Bullies I suppose....

But no it wasn't called for whatsoever. Emery sucks, he can eat a bag of.....

Maybe the Bruins could have done more, but at the same time, there is a certain type of mind a person has to have to develop the maturity necessary to survive. Arguing had to want to mature for it to all work.

I hope he has fun on the soft ice in Dallas!

The guys at NLHN were talking the other day how Giroux may be playing himself right off the Canadian Olympic team. It's a strange development for sure. He was right on the verge of superstardom when they blew the Pens out of the playoffs.
