2013-2014 NHL Regular Season Thread

Lol Ovechkin.

The entire season so far I've been thinking.

At least the Flyers aren't as bad as Buffalo.

Also. The League Rescinded the Belov Match Penalty for the Shoulder to Shoulder hit on Giroux. Absolutely the right call to make. Shouldn't have been a penalty to begin with.

Someone posted that Ovechkin video clip before. I remember seeing it.

Yeah, but still so good. Imagine if he could take his mental game to the next level. In Muay Thai, my instructors says that the difference between a professional champion and a regular fighter is the mind. They are "next level" mentally all the time, and ignore fatigue.

Stamkos, It's his right leg. The one that goes perpendicular into the post. Broken Tib that's bad enough to require surgery. I got a dollar says he's out for year. They're saying 6 months I really hope that's all it is. Looks fairly high up IE…the middle. Thats good I think. Less soft tissue stuff.

I feel for Stamkos. He made TB a competitive team. Hopefully it's something that doesn't sting too hard for too long.

Apparently this guy hasn't seen the Controller Disconnected Gif.

I was watching that in real time - not a pretty sight at all. He got up and tried to skate but went right back down and pounded the ice with his glove. Hockey players are tough.

On a lighter note, the B's have played 3 decent games in a row which is nice to see. I think I was fooled by their fast start - it has to take more time to integrate a new guy on each line and to add 3 new guys (Hamilton, Krug and Bartkowski) to a 7 man defensive rotation even thought they all saw some time last year. Krug is tied for the lead in goals by a D-man with 6 - he has been fun to watch.
