Emery gets the start after Mason's shutout? ***???
It makes sense, considering that tonight's game is the second of back-to-back road games.

Lots to love about last nights game. Crisp passing. Very Disciplined play taking a very un-Flyer like one penalty the entire game. Couple turnovers and giveaways made me cringe but nothing they couldn't recover from.
Glad to see them improving the Goals Per Game number as well as the PP percentage.
Biggest smile on my face is a result of Mason's shutout. He is starting to relieve my fears of the bottom dropping out a bit. It would be unfortunate to see him get cold just as the Flyer's offense is showing signs of life.
ZOMG are the Flyers actually a good team? We shall see.
I could see the Pens putting up 6+ goals tonight, or just absolutely getting manhandled haha.
Probably my only real complaint about that game was Luke Schenn. After being a healthy scratch for several games, he looks like he's lost his confidence. Almost every move or pass he made seemed tentative. Hopefully, he'll get back into the groove. Glad to see Voracek get going again.
I'll be honest. This team (moreso some life struggles) had me in a funk. Luckily I got an awesome wife who shows me the way to not take life so seriously and pick me up when I fall down.
Cheers to the max!!

What was amazing about the game last night was the coaching. Berube kept the matchups going last night to keep the advantage for the Flyers and Bylsma just kept rolling the lines and didn't adjust at all.
Really getting sick of Letang though. I hope the Pens dump him before his extension kicks in.
That was the worst I've ever seen the Pens play in person. Seemed like an overall lack of effort from the top down. Funny thing is they still had a hundred scoring chances, just couldn't put the puck in the net.
To me the flyers didn't look like anything more than a mediocre team. I'll be surprised if they make the playoffs, but there's lots of time left. I'm kind of glad the pens are struggling a bit now instead of just breezing through to the playoffs. Really getting sick of Letang though. I hope the Pens dump him before his extension kicks in.
Not really sure I agree about Malkin. He didn't take any dumb penalties and got lots of scoring chances. They do usually defend him pretty well though.
