Very nice Jimmy. Now you have the holy trinity of bass amps.
I've slipped a disk while bending over to tie my shoelaces. Be careful when adjusting those knobs.![]()
Sound...superb, just like the old V4B's. Never played a V4BH so I can't compare it to that but used to have a 73 V4B for years when I was a kid starting out and that's the sound.Dear owners of new V-4b, please write some reviews here now. What about sound, headroom, volume? I am also interested about comparison of V4BH vs new V-4B!?
But then I'd have to cut my toenails on a regular basis!Mr. M. With all due regards to Mr. Toast's words of caution. May I suggest that when you use the inverted stack configuration, you play the gig with no shoes or socks, and adjust the knobs on the amp with your toes. It could become part of the act.
Be careful of the chrome corners when removing the front face. You may need to remove those first, as its a tight fit and it needs to "kick out" from under the metal "lip" that runs along the edge of the amp chasis. I buggered up mine a bit by knocking it out without removing the corners first.
But then I'd have to cut my toenails on a regular basis!
Not for much longer!

Right. Just tried it and it fits exactly.Jimmie doesn't roll that way, but it should match perfectly. They're both 24", and both 11" depth.
Cheers,
Liam
so far everything tells me this amp is a winner.
Do I get one even though I have a 76 already or use the money towards an older SVT as I have regretted selling mine since 2 days after i sold it....
Thx Laurent. That's pretty much what I thought, although you can see from my comments that I thought the amps' DI held up pretty doggone well vs. the REDDI. It's like choosing between 3 really hot chicksNice work Jimmy. The V4B seems to hold its own against the Heritage.
The Reddi is also beautiful sounding, so warm and larger than life. It's got that really big tone!
