Nice work on the clips JimmyM. Not sure I can pick one I like best though, they all sound really good.
Now I'm curious as to what cabs are going to sound best with the V4B. I loved my old V4B through my old SVT810 and I'm running 2-15s now, but I'd like to check out the new 112 and 212AVs.

It looks cool. I'd be tempted to try it like this and see how it works out. You might be pleasantly surprised with how it performs, despite it not being a single inline string. After all, your 810 is the same topology, just doubled. You'd need some feet or a bit of carpet under the cab though. Good excuse to get a Gramma isolation thingy.

Thanks for the clips, Jimmy. Very nice to to hear another recording of the V4B.

I thought the SVT and the V4B sounded VERY similar in your first two clips (the DI clips). Close to identical. I thought the low end of the V4B was maybe a bit tighter than the SVT. Could hear a little variation in the high end, but very similar.

I like the way both amps sound through the cab. Kind of tightened things up. Very nice sounds.

For me, the winner was the REDDI. Dang that thing sounds good!

Hard to argue with the REDDI, for sure, but after doing this, I'm very tempted to start running two lines whenever possible. I loved the mic'ed sound as much as the REDDI sound. The amp sound does get picked up by mics on the stage, which I may just go with instead because I tend to be lazy ;) but I'm finding it hard to argue with a mic on the cab and blending the two. Going to play with that a little more today and see what happens.

David, sorry, but I didn't like the sound of the side by side setup nearly as much as the vert stack. I don't mind side by side when it's in an 810, but not so much with a 410. Don't like to have the sound blowing past my knees. Plus you not only have to have something on the ground, but you have to have something between the cabs as well, as they were resting on the amp corners, which is a recipe for sliding.

JimmyM which REDDI do you use?
