I'm not sure what that will do for us. I guess his save percentage is twice as good as either of our current goalies, but still....

Harding really let this team down. Not because of MS, but because everyone was coming into this season thinking he was ready to go and then he has his little tantrum or whatever and kicks the wall and breaks his foot. What an idiot.

I think an actual TRADE would have maybe shaken things up more but we'll see. If we can't beat Buffalo tonight - no matter who is or isn't playing (Suter didn't make the best decision with that elbow either) we're done for this year. We may be already anyway.

Dubnyk had a good year a few years ago, despite playing behind a very bad Edmonton team. Last year was a disaster, but it's hard to blame him. The Oilers were pretty much the worst team in the league defensively. If he got to play regularly behind a good team, he would put up much better numbers and could be a starter - and I think at minimum, he is a very capable backup.

That said, I think Seguin was shopped to the whole league although I'm sure the B's preferred that he go out of the conference or at least out of the division. Does anyone know if anyone else besides the Stars put together a decent package? Once you saw what came over for Seguin, were there any teams (or fanbases) that said, "Dang, we coulda put together a better package and shoulda traded for Seguin ourselves."'

Good point about the team's poorly disguised frustration. The B's seem to think a gifted offensive player is rubbish if he doesn't back check. Look at Ovechkin last year. He led the league in goals and was close to the bottom in plus/minus. Reminds me of the '80's L.A. Kings, they'd score 7 goals and lose 9-7. No team needs that, but if you're in a division that is more offensive minded (like out west), let a guy score 40, just make sure Bergeron is on the same line.

Exactly, I hope that he continues to play well, and if he does, that the Bruins will do the right thing and let him stay. The veterans on the team love the kid and the team is finally performing up to expectations as the whole team is healthy and Pastrnak appears to be the serviceable replacement for Iginla that the B's have been searching for since last season. A money-driven demotion would destroy the good chemistry that has finally arrived. It may depend on whether it looks like they will make the playoffs, because they would certainly need him in the SCP to have a chance of advancing, but right now they are playing well and working their way up the standings.

I'm rooting for you man. With more offense and with a goaltender as good as Rask, (if he picks it up a little) the B's have as good a chance as any to advance far in the playoffs.
