2015 pedal wrap up

I fell into the pedal rabbit hole hard this year. I acquired:
Mxr bass od, mxr bass octave, MXR bass chorus, Mxr bass compressor, Fuzzrocious bdpg, Fuzzrocious rat tail, Fuzzrocious demon king, tech 21 vt bass di, EQD dispatch master, EQD hummingbird, mxr phase 90, Aguilar octamizer, Malekko b:assmaster, malekko diabolik, Mooer Lofi machine, Dunlop bass wah, Fairfield barbershop, sansamp bddi, dod fx25b envelope filter, and a boss compressor.
Only kept: bdpg, rat tail, diabolik, lofi machine, hummingbird, phase 90, dispatch master, vt bass DI, and boss compressor.
It's been a year of experimentation.

The Ashdown Lomenzo has become my "secret sauce". Another notable is the Empress Compressor paired with a Broughton HPF.

Its been a busy year for me too. The harvest of craigslist has been bountiful, and ive reaped what others have sewn at portlands many fine used guitar shops. I bought most of this in 15'.

Didn't get much this year but right before Christmas I got
- Pedaltrain Pro
- MXR DI (the older one that gets close to a Meshuggah tone)
- Source Audio Reverb
- Ibanez Flanger (the tonecore series? Not the Paul Gilbert one)
- A custom delay by DCB pedals, just a dude in Queensland, planning on getting some more stuff from him, a OD pedal featuring 3 separate eq points to dirty up or keep clean as you like.
I only bought a Mxr phase 90 this year, but I did upgrade my whole amp set up and get a new bass...so 2016 is the year of pedals for me
A couple of weeks ago i got a power supply and said I'm done for the year...
Ha!
Today I traded for a boss bass limiter.

Taurus Tux Black Line Compressor: Adds the "poom" (say it really fast and pop the "p") to the beginning of notes that I was looking for in a compressor.
EHX Nano Hot Tubes: Can be set up as a fat, warm, clean-ish bass boost.
Boss EQ-20 and Boss PQ-3B: Both excellent tone shapers.

Ordered a bunch of PCB and other associated parts in the waning days of 2015... Oh, and a PandaMidi FI.
Going to finally stop talking about building pedals and do it, in 2016, with a bit of the Synthmesc me droogies....

Dc brick by Dunlop left and db11 hot stone took its place (smart move)
Duality by Darkglass was sold (with a heavy heart , but I had to choose a fuzz , and 3leaf Audio you're doom was the lucky winner)
Just received my Solidgoldfx Beta A week or so ago .... L O V E IT
B3k and B7K U.S versions were sold and replaced by MIF version !!!
COG EFFECT T16 should be arriving any day now ... Can't wait , anyway, EBS OCTABASS has found its way to the classified.
Got some flat patch cables ... Seems like nothing much, but makes life a lot more easy around the board.
The Cali76 CB replaced my Aguilar TLC ... Don't think I will be buying any new compressors soon.
I'm struggling deep inside , but I'm thinking to get the B7K Ultra to replace my current one ...

so much gear came and went but alot of pedals stuck around, alot of Fuzzrocious stuff, fave and the one that wnt go anywhere is there limited run Cicada Fuzz, its a gated trem fuzz, the fuzz is really heavy, and the trem is crazy!

My resolutions are moderately simple: cut back on eating McDonald's, go outside and play tennis and buy more pedals than I did in 2015 (I bought 11)
My pedal of the year for 2015 goes to the Red Witch Zeus. For me, the best octave I've tried. And the fuzz has been a sleeper surprise. I thought this pedal was going to be way too much gnarly to be useful, but it's turned out to be everything I didn't realize I was missing in my board.
