2014 was the year my father died, my mother was put in a home for dementia, and is not going to be around much longer, and a house fire burned most of my equipment, and the result of all that is, I am going to be making some major changes to my life.

How is posting about this attention seeking?

Atlantic Ocean in Mexico? Isn't that still really the Caribbean, technically? It could be Bermuda or somewhere like that. Or even Europe. Why not? If my ties all got cut, there wouldn't be much reason not to go somewhere interesting for a while.

The BS is in this thread, the ones refering to Mellow as a drama queen, etc.
The posts to which I refer are some of his posts.
I'm just supporting someone I like who is being maligned by some malcontents.

I didn't see any posts from you on this thread, so I don't see why you might think it applies to you. The malcontents of which I speak are those who posted rude and insulting comments to the OP on this thread and the accusations of seeking attention. That makes no sense. If nobody posted anything interesting, there would be no TB. I don't care if anyone does or does not like someone else, but I don't care for people being rude and insulting for no reason.

Wow! Talk about a heavy year and I really feel for you and your wife. This may not be much, but I hope you find peace and happiness in 2015.

I believe mellowinman has taken a page from the Dick Cheney playbook and has sequstered himself in an undisclosed location ( by some body of water he claims to be the atlantic, but how do we really know that ? it could just be a ruse)

How do we know if it is really Mellowinman? He could have been kidnapped by aliens and turned into Janet's baby while having an affair with Elvis from beyond the grave. And, all the posting you see from his account is really just a plant from Rupert Murdoch to throw us off. It could happen like that, y'know. Can't be too careful.

There was once a time when a conversation like this would have been the accuser and the accused hashing out the perception, and no ill feelings in the end. Others would have joined in the discussion to weigh in either way. It may have gotten a little OT along the way, but it would have come full circle.

Now we get random people jumping in to defend the accused with the 'how dare you' type of comments. Or in your case, the 'why say things like that, are you trying to hurt someone?' comments. It was a comment you disagree with, which is fine too. The group responses just felt dramatic to me. Why not just get it all sorted out instead of trying to cast of the dissenting comment like it was some kind of transgression even to mention it?

In the big picture, I am probably caring and worried about this way too much. I've been hanging around TBOT for an extended time, so I take things here more personal than I probably should.
