2017- What's on your GAS List?

I've been toying with the idea of installing a pickup on the Wishbass that gives a deeper tone.

This year mostly been about GRS (Gear Repair Syndrome) as I've had lots of old electronic gear restored to full function: Juno 6, SH-09, Vocoder and most recently the TR-606.

Wow MaidenBass those are some really interesting choices. Why did you go with the Aguilar pups? I've never had the pleasure of testing out the Aguilars, why did you choose them over EMG's? What sound are you going for, what style are you playing? Also why did you select 34" scale for a fiver, do you prefer the way that feels over the 35"?

I'm just a 34" guy now. Have had many 35" scale basses and Dingwalls, but I don't like the stretch of a longer scale length.

Aguilar DCBs are IMO just awesome pickups and have the tone I like.
Check out these sounds with some good headphones!

I'll see if I can't find my harmonic this weekend also. I got one months ago during Musician's Friend blow-out of them on their Stupid Deal of the Day, but now I don't know where it is, LOL!

First thing eating me this year is installing active EMG pickups darkglass or Aguilar onboard preamp onto my Schecter stiletto Studio 5. It is my main stage bass and I love the way it plays, however it needs better electronics. Other than that, if I found a darkglass b3k or b7k used for a decent price I would pick it up. Ha, what I should be spending my money on is lessons!;)

I almost bought a 4th new bass, but thankfully the 35" scale length on this one keeps me out of divorce court!

I think they're more or less all made in Thailand (by the same factory if I'm correct) except for the custom ones. I heard the Gon Bops were really good. Almost impossible to find here in Europe.
I have a set of Meinl but am keeping an eye on the Giovannis. You know, BAS.
