2018 Spector Euro 5LX (TONEPUMP) issues

Just got this Spector Euro 5LX. Have been a Warwick guy for years.
I’m not sure about this TonePump (with trim) though. I have been playing with the Treb and Bass pots to dial in a sound that isn’t distorted.
Any suggestions? I’ll keep playing around with it till I get there... just not sure if I should look into another

The Tonepump is pretty hot.The trim pot adjusts the output level of the preamp. Dial it back to where there's no distortion.
If you don't like the Tonepump, try one of Sheldon's(SNC Pre) haz clone preamps. You'll find his and other recommendations in the Spector Owners Club.
