2x12 cabinets

Has anyone had a chance to play through the Bag End D12-D? I'm interested in trading in my 1x15 and 2x10 set-up for a 2x12, but the Epifani is a little out of my price range (best price I've found is $800 plus $45 shipping). The Bag End is about $300 less, and I like the cabinets I've heard from them. I play in a pretty loud indie-rock band (along the lines of Superchunk), and I think the 2x12 will help tighten up the low end and still provide a good amount of punch. At least until I get a vehicle that will allow me to carry a 8x10.

I have also seen that Ernie Ball has a new 2x12+6 cabinet out. Has anyone heard this?

Finally, does anyone know what the normal price is for an Eden 2x12 (retail, not list)? If anyone knows, how does this compare to the Bag End?

Matthew: Sorry I can't help.

I just want to tell you that I'm definitely on the 2x12 side now - why? Yesterday (with my Blues Brothers Band) I used my GK 150MB combo (1x12) with my home-made 1x12 extension cab for the first time and I could hardly believe how good it sounded - full and round, very beefy low mids and still not veiling the typical sound of my Stingray, and not the slightest problem with boominess.

As I have no idea of cab design, I just built a box with a speaker and two ports without any calculations - well it works, but has no even frequency response for sure.
So I say to myself: When I like this setup so much, how happy will I be with a professional 2x12 cab powered by my 400W H&K head!?
I'm really looking forward!!! :cool::cool::cool:

:) a happy Matthias :)
