lemme update my previous thing
It is now:
1)El Grande Bass Fuzz
2) DI Box/SansAmp (preferably VT Bass)
3) Dunlop 105Q
Put the 105Q in between the El Grande and the SansAmp. Let tones fly.

+ TU-2 is a tuner and doesn't count for tone so I'll have that too
actually guys can't we make this 4?? 
I use these 3 pedals but I just can't say "no i'll not use my EBS ValveDrive!!!" The EQ and Comp is always on and i use either synth or ValveDrive according to the tune... If we insist on 3 pedals I'll have to pick valvedrive instead of synth.

Never heard a better sounding EQ... you CANNOT get a bad sound out of this baby.
Compression is a beautiful thing, and there's no better stompbox out there.

Tube Zipper is a wierd beast. I played it for about 15 at a local shop today and couldn't quite figure it all out. The dirt capabilities are the truth, but the filter section is noisy and- based on the short time I messed with it- unpredictable.
I left the shop not knowing if I wanted it, but knowing I wanted to spend more time with it. Maybe I just should have let the man who owns it explain better.
