You would be wrong. Clearly Dusty Hill's bass lol
I can think of a couple others
Jamerson original 1961 P bass
Paul McCartneys original hofner bass
Geddy's #1 jazz
Chris Squires 1999RM

There are collectors that would pay money we struggle to fathom
"What is humor?" The TB member cried for attention in his misunderstanding...

My engineer nerd brain read the title as $394.00 with the last zero being a typo, and I thought $394 is too much for any Fender P.

Same here. I figured the "Precision" part was chopping pennies into tenths for accuracy. I once paid $100 for a P-Bass clone that was worth every penny. Theoretically, a Fender might be worth $350.

Reactions: in tune and Snert
When I see instruments like that, I always have mixed instruments. I think even if I was a billionaire, I would not feel comfortable buying one of these. But I also don't think these should be part of some sort of museum. I think ideally instruments like this should be bought by someone who will regularly play them to big audiences.
I know that Joe Bonamassa is disliked and hated by many for playing old famous instruments, but I cannot imagine a better use for these relics. I would be most comfortable if they just kept on living being played, even if Dusty didn't play many of his old ones for decades either...

Agreed! They are meant to make music, not gather dust!
