I think that is a great demo, not necessarily of the octaver maybe, but of the fact an octaver is helped by a cleaner playing technique. 
If it's the demo I've seen, it was kinda funny how for the most part they set the pedal to the sub-only mode and kept turning the mix knob.
Yeah the person doing that demo clearly didn't know how the controls work. It really serves as poor marketing for the pedal and should probably be re-done, adjusting the tone control to different positions as well. As it is, someone who was less familiar could watch only that demo and pass by the pedal completely, not bothering to check out other demos.
+1!! A big mistake to not show how the pedal sounds in the OC-2 mode with the tonecontrol completely to the left!!!
If I only had heard this demo I would not have bought the octabvre, but I allready did
and it is fantastic.I have to say that I would have liked the very low bass in the sub setting to go as deep (or closer to) as the OC-2, which Spencer tweeked to be less low and more punchy, and also I think there is a little bit too much grunt (or how do you call it) in the sub setting when the tone knob is to the left in the OC-2 setting.
But the good news is that it is fantastic on its own and especially in combination with my Proton!
Really unbelievable what kind of synth sounds this combi can produce. Awesome!!!

+2, that was truly painful to watch. I wouldn't be surprised if it's soon "disappeared" from the internet once Spencer or some other Good Samaritan gives them some friendly advice.
Just tore up and reassembled the board to add the Octabvre and will unveil it at the gig tonight. Combined with the Doom and Proton, dat dere is one STANK synth and funk machine!!!

The Octabvre is now on my board. It's a keeper. I'm happy with the sound, and the sub is fantastic.
Thought you lot might dig this fromel etched Enabler, 1 of 1 I think. Serial number 1 too.

That's freqin sweet
Octabvre slayed at the gig tonight! As expected, the souped-up OC-2 growl slices through the band mix perfectly. Mutron mode pairs perfectly with the Proton, brings ample grit for the Proton to get nice and juicy. And the Doom on top of it all is just plain naaasty (got several "constipated" looks from the band and audience)! Went to the Octabvre often during solo and breakdown sections, even popped the Sub couple of times. The only difficulty was trying not to overdo it...

So after I got Octabvre a lot of people asked me difference between Octabvre and OC2, so here is a little clip for comparison these two pedals....
Wow, now I'm definitively convinced there is something wrong with my unit. No matter how clean I play, it sounds more like the demo from Bassdirect than like my OC-2. In your demo they are quite similar.
I can get my OC-2 to track very cleanly, but not the Octabvre.
I already contacted Spencer; I'll let him take a look, and hopefully when it returns, it will sound as great as yours!

I feel like the Octabvre is slightly quieter in the clip, although it is a very nice comparison. It's just that volume affects our perception so much that in a shootout, it can really change the outcome. The Octabvre seems to lose a little in the big fat bottom end in the competition, but that might be in part to the volume.
Yes Octabvre is quieter because I didn't crank the volume (which I could), OC2 actually doesn't have volume option in that "mode", and Octabvre has.
For me Octabvre is like 2.0 OC2 with more option. OC2 has that boomy sound which in most cases bugged me.
The thing I really like is tone knob, it would be even better if you could turn it with expression pedal.
But in any case it's a perfect pedal.

This is a horrible demo, it's all glitchy and poppy. They should take this down until they figure out how to not clip the recording.
Much better demo than the British one! Agree with the other comments in regard to the volume, but still, it's clean and clear.
