3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Ok, got my octabvre. Fantastic sounding pedal. Punchy and tight, instead of flabby/subby. And it seems to go unsaid but the grit added from the mutron/right side of the pedal mixed with clean signal is AMAZING. No other octave has that slightly dirty tone and sounds natural like this pedal. Best octave ive owned by far. Though id still use the oc2 for its flabbiness/sub, id use this for everything else. i own all 3leaf pedals besides the wonderlove and the pwnzor. I feel like the proton suits my needs best but the collection must continue.....

A quick test of using Hot Hand 3 with Wonderlove. It took some fine tuning of the Depth and Smooth knobs, plus finding the right angle for the calibration, but it can be done with some more practice I think.

Great! Thank you for sharing this video. Which cable did you use to connect HotHand receiver with WL ex pedal output? Should it be stereo cable (TSR) or normal one?

Stereo (TRS) 1/4".

And did you do any adjustments to HotHand receiver trims (four tiny switches at the bottom)?

The dip switches were left on the factory settings, I think that's On, Off, On, Off.

Octabvre on my board for tonight's gig. I "condensed" my board from a PT Mini to a Nano since I'm told we'll have very little room in this joint.

You're Doom > Octabvre > Barbershop > Little Black Box

I normally use an Aggie Octamizer which I love but I figured I'd give the Octabvre a shot since I'm a huge fan of all the other 3Leaf stuff. I messed around with it a little bit just to get a feel, but I usually do my trial by fire stuff on the gig. The Octamizer is going to be tough to beat for what I need so we shall see.

You might want to try putting the Octabvre before the Doom. Analog octavers generally like cleaner signals and probably will have "mixed feelings" about the Doom's additional octave-up tones.

3leaf pedals are great alone and even better in combination; it's almost like they're made for each other. ;)

I prefer the fuzz running into the octave for my synthy tone. I normally run fuzz > filter > octave. It works great with the Aggie, and I have it 4th in the chain with no tracking issues at all. I couldn't say the same with my OC-2's that I always used before.

I know it's a 3Leaf thread but I really love the Octamizer for an octave. It's a great pedal that gets knocked from people who have probably never used it.

I need to give the Octabrve some more time before I make any decisions on it. The room we played in last night was terrible. It was probably the worst sounding room we've ever played in. Needless to say I wasn't impressed with virtually any part of my rig last night.

As for them working together I totally agree. I'm only missing a Wonderlove to complete the whole family. I owned one before and got rid of it.

Yeah, I tried the you're doom before the octavbre and the octavbre did not like it. Kept glitching due to the add harmonic content of the fuzz. The octavbre has earned the first spot in the Filter section of my board. Now if I can just figure out where to put that compressor.....
