Love my v2 wonderlove! It isn't as automatic wah sounding as some other filters, but is very funky. Just ordered an Expression pedal to use with mine.
Also curious- I've been using an MXR octave delux, but am very intrigued by the 3leaf octave. I like the idea of the sun switch, so the mini probably isn't for me, but to those who have tried both- what are some key differences between the Tim tuned and original versions? Most descriptions just seem to say " more low end" with the tim version, any other descriptions?
Are you calling the Deluxe the V2? I'm really enjoying the WL with an octave pedal....very synthy sounds from the upper register!
The Tim tuned is just essentially the classic OC-2 sound, though with a bit more headroom. Initially, the first run Octabvre took out some of the sub lows. I believe the idea was to maybe punch a little more with more perceived volume. It also added to the character of the Mu side of the tone knob. Seemingly, Tim missed the subs from the original OC2 sound, so the "Tim" tuning was born.
I enjoyed my Octabvre for a while but did miss the subs. I had mine Tim modded and then flipped it towards the mini and love that. I preferred the size over the sub switch. It's the classic OC2, with more volume and more versatility.
I picked up an Octabvre Mini and finally had a chance to use it at rehearsal. First impression is WOW. LOVE IT. It sounded massive. Tracked wonderfully. Could go from subtle and synth-y to all out sub-octave blow out. Especially if I threw some fuzz on it afterwards. I have had an OC-2 which I liked, but the switch started crapping out; and I currently have an Octamizer which is nice, but kind of boring. Not bad at all, just not exciting. Really really liked what I was getting out of the Mini.
What in tarnation is this Octabvre MK II I just saw on FB? I've been out of the loop. My Tim-Tuned is currently my favorite pedal. How can it possibly be better? Lasers? Whiskers? Turtle Power?
My understanding is that MKII is switchable (via external toggle), so it can be standard or Tim-Tuned.
Did Spencer actually call it out as a new pedal? It looks just like the original, and the FB comments have some random person calling it MKII. I assumed it was just a shot of the Tim-tuned.

It's on his web page as MkII and toggles between standard and Tim Tuned. So want!!!
I would like to do this as a mod to my OCTABVRE. Does anyone have any details on this or know if you can send the old version in to be modified?
I'm fixin' to get an Octabvre very soon. Is the mini basically a Tim-tuned without the sub switch? And also does the Tim tuning take away from the synthy sounds of the mutron side? I'm torn between the mkii and mini.
Yup, the mini is indeed a Tim tuned without the sub. I don't find that it takes anything away from either side, I think it adds to it. I much prefer the Tim tuning to the standard tune.
Just did. New circuit board on the Mk II so no modifying old versions. Older ones can be "Tim-tuned" though, but no switching back and forth.
Thanks, I'm leaning toward the mini since the sub switch is not a necessity for me. I just want to be sure I'm not going to be missing something by not going with the big version.
