I own the MKII and have tried the Mini before I bought it so I've heard both but not A/B'd them. But from what I heard it definitely sounds the same.
I'm really digging the MKII. I liked the deeper tuning of the Tim mod with the tone mod down but then it didn't have the gritty, synthy sound of the original Octabvre with the tone up past halfway, which is great for driving dirt and/or filters. So to me the MKII is the best of both worlds, especially for someone like me that uses both the soloed octave and the blended/traditional octave sound a lot.
A question to Wonderlove owners who have experimented with the effects loop.
I get a "weird" behaviour (as in I don't understand why) when using my Catalinbread SFT pedal in the fx loop of the Wonderlove. The volume drops a lot when putting the SFT in the loop, compared to run it before or after the Wonderlove. I've tried with the TWA Great Divide, but it sounds consistent no matter where I place it.
The buffer of the Wonderlove is on, and I am running the SFT @ 18V if that makes any difference. [EDIT] I tried with the SFT @ 9V and got the same result. [/EDIT]
Anyone know what's going on? Why is this happening? Do you have any other pedals that behave this way with the Wonderlove?
Also I've tried this on both the Wonderlove and the Wonderlove Deluxe. Same thing with both of them.

If i use it as a standalone, I mostly play mute .... It has a cool attitude to it...
Going through the wonderlove effect loop is just too tasty .... But my ultimate favorite is the same thing going through an octaver ... Now that's a synth sound I can play allllllllll day , but unfortunately can't with , it has no place in my thrash metal band, and can use it once in a while with my fusion funk band ...
Gonna flip it ... But still have a heavy heart with that decision .....
I don't have a volume issue, but I'm currently having a "tone" issue with my Big Muff Pi where running it in the loop it's become tinny and really noisy. I haven't spent the time messing with other pedal combos yet, but if anyone else had this issue, please let me know!
In this here NAMM demo with Spencer & Paul Turner, the Wonderlove and the Doom, is the Doom in the loop of the Wonderlove?
So...I've got a Wonderlove V.2 - just wondering what the purpose of the effects loop is. Could someone give me an example of what other pedal they put in that loop and why?
The effects loop lets you put dynamics-killers like fuzz after the envelope follower, but before the filter so you can get gnarly fuzzed out filter sounds and retain touch sensitivity. Currently a dr scientist frazz dazzler lives in the loop of my Wonderlove. It's awesome!
Definitely play around with it. I've found using the effects loop can make the envelope sound 'wetter' which can be very cool. In the deluxe you can turn the buffer on or off and have the best of both worlds, depending on the sound you're going for.

I ended up getting a You're Doom, placed it in the effects loop of the Wonderlove, and holy cats does it sound good.
Thanks @Planespotter - I'm going to try that with my Dark Glass Duality Fuzz...
And here it is! Finally have toggle switch... that's what I wanted when Tim mod was released!
Just got another PWNZOR. Actually I think it's the same one that I sold two years ago, but I'm not really sure (the number seems familiar). They seem to be rare over here in Germany. Does anyone know how many PWNZORs were built? I remember Spencer mentioning something about 115-120is?
Turning on the buffer allows you to use pedals in the Wonderlove loop without turning the Wonderlove on. With the buffer off, turning off the Wonderlove bypasses the loop completely. A handy feature for sure.
I'll add that I just got a You're Doom from a fellow member and I love it. When I run the mudbucker from my EB-3L through it, it takes on a ring mod-ish angry robot sound when I go above the 12th fret. Such a fun pedal!
I use it when I'm running some fuzzes and the WLD with the expression pedal. Rather than hitting two switches, I turn the fuzz and the expression pedal switch on, turn the buffer on, and I then switch between clean and filtered fuzz with just the WLD enable switch.

Short question (maybe someone knows or I'll contact Spencer): It's not a big thing, but sometimes when I plug in the pedalboard, my PWNZOR makes some kind oh whizzing, phasing high-pitched noise, which only goes away if I unplug and power it up again. It's not that loud, but I'm wondering what might cause it.

What power supply are you using?
What power output do you have feeding the PWNZOR (9V, 100mA, daisy chained to a single output, etc.)?
