I try to think that I'm above product or brand worship. I just opened up my Ghost Octabvre and I might just leave it in the box and continue to use my B stock Octabvre. It looks too good.

It's my own. Touching/rubbing my sweaty meats on the top seems to leave marks. I can rub the sides and back and nothing happens but touching the top seems to be permanent. Finish isn't quite as durable as my Octabvres labeling...

Should add that it sounds the same as I remember the other one I had sounds. Such a fun pedal!

My Mk3 is good, same with my Chromatron, which apparently had the issue as well. I use air to clean them, nothing touches those lol

My Dooms lettering is fine.

It's only a matter of time until they won't be.

Perhaps but going through multiple owners before me gives hope. Both of mine are the reactive steel not the ultra black finish which maybe has something to do with it.

My Doom 2 is missing the V from 9V and, more amusingly, the l from welcome, so it reads We come to your Doom. My Octabvre and Proton are both fine but have been nail polished (thanks to the suggestion on here). I’ve not touched the Chromatron though.

Yeah. If I recall, it was @cosmicevan that suggested it. If I had known new batches were coming out I may not have done it but, as I’ve said before on here, I really liked the quote on account of it being from a show I liked so I wanted to preserve it. Then I got carried away and the Octabvre and Proton got the same treatment. It looks pretty good: in some lights you can’t see it but in others it can look a bit rough. I don’t plan on selling them though so it didn’t matter to me as much as preserving the overall look.

This is what I mean about some lights being better. The Proton looks a bit rough here but the others are clearer.
