3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

You could use a de-burring tool.

That's probably a better idea than a metal file. lol My point was that then it wouldn't be an "original" 3Leaf. ;)

But maybe now we'll see some 3Leafs pop up on Reverb with an additional $200 markup, because of "painstakingly deburred edges to reduce the risk of needing stitches." :D

(Just to be clear, no current thoughts of selling any of MY 3Leafs.)

5sg.

The Doom2 arrived. I really like it though some clips I've seen it seems to be more gated. Any tips on how to get there?

This is my favorite example. Could be that it's compressed a little and sounds a little more gated on my phone.

Both switches up, mids and trebles boosted to taste with gain as low as possible. Becomes super envelope-y in around there.

Admittedly it takes a while to get tones dialed on the Doom. I keep my gain around 9 o'clock. I think they other really important thing about getting that gated sound is to play to the pedal. Flats certainly make the Doom do a different thing than rounds; but muting your attack and playing a little softer will get it to do that filtery sound. Both toggle switches up, mids either slightly boosted or cut; treble wide open
