3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

January octavbre up for preorders now.

Looks like he hiked the price by 33%. $444 is a lot for a single pedal

I've been waiting for a Doom 2 release but if it is going for 444, I might have to pass.

Looks like if you preorder you pay the extra or wait til the drop on the 31st and pay the usual price

Looks like the 33% is a premium for.pre orders and it will go down to 333 at launch

Not a horrible way to do it. Kinda like how Noble does their preamp. Pay extra for a rush, or get it at normal price and wait.
Not really.

When you order a Noble and choose to wait, you’re guaranteed to have one. If you pay more, you have it sooner. In both cases, you’re not in competition with the other buyers.

3LA’s new system is : all pedals are available during the preorders. Those that have not been preordered yet will go for sale for the usual $333 : you are guaranteed to have one for $444 or you can try to get one for $333 - if it is still available - but you will need to be quick.

$444 on preorder - or $333 for the remaining units.

Last DOOM2 I purchased last year was listed for $333. It cost me $480 to import it (+44% with shipping and taxes).
I was tempted to try the new Octabvre but it slowly becomes out of reach if you’re from Europe.

In the same boat. I will likely order to a friend in the US to hold for me until I get over.

He might not be “good at business,” but I wouldn’t be surprised if he made it into college business books… about what not to do to kill your business.

“capitalizing, scaling up, money grindset” is the least of his issues.

The Darkglass fiasco, the racist comment, calling potential customers “cheap imitations of a musician,” bundling his pedals with preamps nobody wanted, the face plates crap and now charging a 33% premium on a premium-priced pedal and calling it a “preorder”?

I’m probably forgetting some, and who knows about the things he says and does in private. I emailed him about a broken Wonderlove that was still under warranty. That was years ago… 2017? He refused to fix it, saying his pedals don’t break.

As someone said above, he’s lucky he has Lefebvre and Ian and others backing him…

I can’t wait to see what he’ll do next!

I for one can’t wait for the 3 Leaf “Some Kinda DRV Octave” limited run

I second that. I was looking for the January (or February) drop, $333 was borderline due to EU tax and Shipping, but man, $444 is now a no-go. I will wait till 31st if any units are left tho (but I doubt it).
