I hope so! I want the octaver and perhaps the mystery rusty box as well, depending on what it ends up being.
So while we're waiting, how about some wild speculation into what we think the rusty box will be? My thoughts are it's a compressor, something similar but not the same as the Pwnzor.
My bet is it's going to be a simplified Pwnzor. But really not that simplified though, still has space for 4 dials, a light and a switch.
I go compressorless on my bigger board and am thinking of taking my PWNZOR off my main board, so I'm hoping it's NOT a compressor. An overdrive would be sweet. I'm also going to replace my Dark Driving. Those two coming off my main board would open the perfect space for the rustyleaf and a You're Doom. You're Doom + Proton for synthy Stevie Wonder bass lines, rustyleaf overdrive for dedicated dirt.

It's just three dials, an LED, and a switch (not counting the footswitch). The holes with the little slits next to them are for potentiometers (i.e. dials)

He's definitely building an octave. There have been several pictures and a video to that effect, but that's not what is going in the "rusty" box. The octave is a two footswitch enclosure, probably of the same format as a Wonderlove.
I think a limited release compressor would be cool. It would take all the lessons learned from the PWNZOR and his more recent pedals and hopefully be more consistent as a compressor. I would definitely like to hear his take on a dirt pedal, but Darkglass does that really well, and he builds their pedals...
I mean a distortion pedal when I say dirt. You're Doom is fuzz through and through; It's not a distortion pedal in the traditional sense, IMO. That being said, the low gain settings do sound pretty fantastic and I DO use them to simulate an overdriven tube amp for some songs. There are several good internet articles on the differences between overdrive, fuzz, and distortion; I learned a lot.
I prefer a one pedal, one function approach with minimal knob fiddling, as I usually have less than 30 seconds between songs to do any knob tuning (including checking tuning and switching basses).
Okay. I appreciate the difference between the three, but the term 'dirt' is very generic and usually applies to all three, which is why I asked.

I'll keep that in mind, but I'm 98% positive the PWNZOR won't be a pedal I ever part with. It's the only compressor I've never felt like I'm fighting with when I have it on. Right now I just want to see if I miss it if I take it off my board and go from there.

I'm thinking it won't be a dirt pedal - as already stated Spence builds the Darkglass stuff and those are some pretty great OD's.
If it's a compressor I'm not sure that I'll bite. I wanted a Pwnzor for so long, but it wasn't available when I was looking to upgrade, so went with an MXR. Pretty happy with it and just don't know if I'll bother spending the money to change it over.

Who am I kidding... After all this conjecture and build up, I'm probably going to buy one regardless of what it is. lol
