I think putting the walnut on the back was a good move, it looks AWESOME.

We have ...(from the top)
Burr Elm
black sycamore
maple/sycamore
elm
black sycamore
walnut

I had another Burr Elm veneer but decided to send it to the bottom of the pile and have the walnut on the back.

Not a lot of time for this at the moment but im plodding along ...

Cut the slots and bound an ebony fb with Flamed Maple ..

Changed the neck completely ... It now has walnut in the middle, Goncalo Alves then Br Mahogany on the edges.

Had to see the final effect of all the veneering ...
Machines are sunk in.

Fairly standard stuff really, check out the 'scarf joint' stickies in the forum.
Shape the back, add some veneers ......thats it basically.
