410 amp cabs

with the MF sale this weekend I can get the acoustic B410 for 269 shipped

how does this compare to the
Hartke VX410
Hartke 410XL
Gallian Krueger 410GLX

all these fall into my price range, I will be powering them with a Hartke Transient attack 2000 head.

I am looking for punchiness over low end rumble

any input would be greatly appreciated!:bassist:

I don't know about acoustic but based on the price, I would look at the others you listed. Unless you are really short of funds $$$ I would consider something else and think of re-sale and adding on. The Fender Bassman line might be better and won't put you out that much extra money. From your list I like the GK410GLX.....

I think you will find the GLX to be HEAVY and brighter than the other cabs. That said I used two of those with a Genz Shuttle and it was awesome.

I have also used the Hartke 410 VX cabs as well and they sounded quite good. I would go to a GC and try as many as possible and see what you like. Try lifting and carrying them too.

I would go to GC if I could, but Im about 150 miles to the closest one (Atlanta) and the local shops only have combos. my last setup I played with was a Hartke transporter 210 and a 15" Shure PA speaker (yeah yeah I know lol) powered by an old Peavey MKIII.

Im really not concerned about weight, Im young and in shape lol. hmmm lots of stuff to ponder, thanks guys!

out of those, the 410xl is the only one i'd consider. get a cheap bass and amp and you can still sound good. get a cheap cab and you can have the best bass and amp in the world and still sound like crap. i don't like the xl cabs as much as the hydrives, but they're a far cry better than anything else you've named.
