On the other side of Argento, ever see Demons 2? TERRIBLE zombie movie. I kinda doubt he had much to do with it though. He's credited as the writer, but there's not much "writing" to it.

He probably helped out with the "writing" as a courtesy to Lamberto Bava, son of esteemed Italian horror director Mario Bava. I'm not sure if Argento was personal friends with either Bava, but it kinda goes without saying that Argento and the other big horror directors would be eager to help out the son of a legend.

Demons (I've never seen the second one) is really a terrible movie, though. I've not seen anything else that Lamberto Bava directed, but I'm not encouraged.

I know Argento was friends with Fulci too, although Fulci made some pretty good horror flicks...certainly one of the goriest directors of that time.

Zombie was a good Fulci flick - gotta love a movie where a zombie and a shark throw down.

I remember watching a movie when I was really young, where in one scene, a boy is swimming in a pool, and starts to drown, and one of the parents tries to get to him, but the house wouldn't let them out... Is this the original Amityville? For some reason, I also remember an old woman in a rocking chair in the attic, which sounds like Psycho to me??? Maybe I'm inventing movies by blending them together.

If it's what I'm thinking it is, that was Invalid Link Removed Very creepy...

I'll also throw in a vote for "Shaun of the Dead" Funny but great (at least for someone who loves zombie movies...)

I still like to watch Dog Soldiers once in a while. I just saw Land Of The Dead which was a little weird because I visionized the main guy as the lawyer guy in The Guardian all the time (just now running in Germany), which was kinda distracting, but I still liked it, maybe see it again for all the details.

He had some cool soundtracks to his films too.. I got cds of "City of the Living Dead" and "The Beyond".
