5 string p 35 scale

I need a p bass, or something sounding really close, in 5 string 35 scale format. Lakland 5564 would be perfect but I'm coming up empty on finding a used model and they've been discontinued (the skylines) and I can't justify the expense of usa lakland. I need 19mm spacing to go ahead and round out the nails in the coffin. Anyone have a lead on something that I'm after? I have to have the criteria listed. I had considered a lakland 5501 as they get close to that sound.
Thanks all.
Again: no 34 scale nothing less than 18.5mm spacing.

Can't find one, either. I share your frustration. 34" scale 5-strings just don't work for me.
A 55-01 is nice. I have had one since 2003, but it is not a P-bass.

Nino Valente will build you a 35" scale P-bass, model T21-P for ~$2450. Mike Lull builds them in 34" or 35". Can't find a price for new a Lull P5.

I had mine made with the dual coil as well. But I'm sure they could do one without it. :D

19mm and 35" scale. Right around 8 pounds. The neck is a dream.

Why do you need 35"?
I have both 34" and 35" instruments and I don't find any difference between them in terms of the scale.
Very true, scale is not much different, especially if you are used to switching between 42" scale upright, 34" scale 4-string electric, and 35" 5-string electric.

35" scale gives me a tighter B, less flab in tone, less flop. I don't like heavier gauge strings. I like .128 or .125 gauge B strings, especially DR longnecks.

Blast from the past. How long did you have to wait on the build and did it run past the estimate given?

A long time.

And yes.

I got on the Hammersmith train early. For the most part, communication was good in my case. I gather some have not been so fortunate.

My bass is superb.... so much so that I really hope they get it together. If they do, they will be a welcome addition to the bass market.

I'm lucky enough to own two Lakland 55/94's and while they don't exactly have the Precision Bass split coil sound, you can get pretty close by dialing in more of the top pickup with the balance control, against both coils of the dual coil on the bottom.
Using Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt Flatwounds. will get you even closer IME. Since I own a 1959 Fender Precision, I know what they sound like. Just my take of course. But you can pickup a used Lakland 55/02 Skyline and get exactly the same sound as
the Lakland 55/94:);)
