5-string vs. big room

Next month my band has a gig at a brew pub that has high ceilings and reflective walls.

I was thinking that my 5-string might be too boomy for the room and may stick with one of my fours while playing the low notes on the higher octave.

AFAIK, there will be no soundman or PA. We'll be just running amps.

Is this the best approach?
