$500 and 3 options

1. New mim Fender deluxe active that the neck pickup isn't working in. GC knocked off $100 to take it as is.

2. Excellent condition Warwick Corvette standard BUT missing one of the bridge saddle do-dads

3. Spend money on something not broken

I'm handy with a soldering iron and not afraid to dig into the electronics..

Music: cover band that is all over the map but primarily classic rock.

So, any pearls of wisdom out there.

If you're handy with an iron and "not afraid", you could always build your own for $500

Interesting thought but I've got more confidence than motivation at this point.

Checked the classifieds and somebody just snatched up the same Fender I'm looking at for 4 bills!

I'll keep an eye out but I'm leaning toward the Corvette at this point...the dude selling it says he will get the bridge part before the sale. We'll see.

If the Fender p/u is bad and it's not just a connection or pot prblm I'll be out some cash.

If youre getting a Corvette, in good shape, and he is replacing the part, I say go for it. Thats an awesome price.

$500 can get you a lot of used bass. Check the TB Classifieds. $500 got me my Geddy, in great shape.

Keep your eye on Ebay. I bought a 96 Carvin Custom 5 string that had an Auquilar 18 volt pre installed for $280. It wasn't well presented and the seller indicated that the head stock had been repaired and it had no Carvin decal on the headstock. For another $100 I got a nearly new Carvin neck (dotless fretboard) on Ebay as well. The bass it the finest 5 stringer I have ever had. Total cost $400 including shipping costs! If you are patient you can get a great deal on Ebay! I also just acquired a Tune Casiopea 4 string for $200 including shipping (sells new for over a grand!). You can do it!!:hyper::bassist:
