Thanks! Got it up and going about a month ago(New caps, tubes, bias, and resto of the 810e cab). This thing sounds awesome.
Got some more info on my 2009 (vintage 
?) 100 watt FAD Four.
Bought it purely based on how it sounds. Had some contact with the builder lately and found it's a point-to-point wired amp based on the original bassman. The builder did tell me that he added a personal touch to the EQ (to make it more "bass friendly") and that it was produced using only American and European components.
I'll be adding pics of it soon. Here is the website ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]), but mine has been made all-pitch-black.

V4's are certainly addictive. Awesome tone, with an 810 they sing. Since I got mine going at full steam I can honestly say that, I am hooked. I am on the hunt for a good deal on another one at the moment.
I got mine for a SUPER good deal, and some caps, resistors, and two 7027A's later, i don't think this one is going anywhere.

I used to play with a drummer that kept 2 of these in his basement so the guitarists he played with wouldn't have to lug amps up and down his stairs for every practice and gig. Its the Nicest basement backline sound around.
His bass rig was the AIMS four channel PA head through a Univox 2x15. Sounds excellent.

Cool, I found my Aims 4x10 combo about a block away from my house at a yard sale back in the early-90's.
These Aims amps have a 2 x 6550 power section and were made right here in good-ol Phoenix Arizona.
The company ended up being somehow absorbed by Randal back In the 70's.
My Aims came with a little label on the back that says Generation X. I keep meaning to try and contact someone from
the band and see if they remember it and have any cool stories to tell. I'm not a huge Gen X fanboy or anything but
its always cool to know of any provenance your gear might have

Yup! that is pretty close to it. It may have had a different labeling font but yeah, that's it!
I have the "Personalized Producer" now and it make a damn fine bass amp as well. You will never guess who I bought it from...

Its nice finding other AIMS appreciators around here. Do a search because there is an AIMS thread or two for your to check out as well!
Valve Jr update; tube swap - I bought a Tung-Sol 12AX7 tube from Sigurd here in the classifieds (arrived yesterday), and ordered a JJ EL84 from Antique Electronic Supply (still en route) after listening to clips on Invalid Link Removed. I stuck the Tung-Sol in last night and noticed an immediate difference...the highs aren't as brittle as they were with the factory EHX. I'm really looking forward to the JJ now.
