50w-100w Valve Owners Thread

I would like to hear that too, but logistically I've gone the other direction. I'm going to try it with 2 of the Micro VR 2x10 cabinets vertically on a gig at the first opportunity.

I scoffed at it when I saw it, but man, that is one 'tight' sounding 2x15 with the right head pushing it.
Nope, i just saw it on craigslist when it was up for sale awhile back.
I WOULD have it.... were it not half way across the USA from me.

I know the others but what is that Marshal looking amp on top of the concert bass?
I built a few of my amps, so I have more pics of the insides than the outsides. For example, my JTM45:
But it and it's older brother the 100 watt look like this on the outside:
(the JTM being identical other than just a bit smaller)
Here's the Fender Dual Showman Reverb I built on top of a 15/6:
I apparently don't have any of my V-4B alone, so here it is under my old SVT:

Some were kits. Others I sourced the parts myself. I co-led a group build of the JTM45 on Harmony Central a while back. We're considering doing another build soon. Maybe the 360+ preamp. (Invalid Link Removed)

I built myself a 100w superbass, and am working on a 50w amp using a Univox 1235 Power amp, and a Pre amp using old WWII broadcast tubes.

tbh though ive been told it produces more than 50 watts
I bought one of those new in 1974 a few months before buying a Gibson Grabber to go with it. I really liked that head. I had a 1x15 cab to go with it.

V-4, and I love it. To be honest. I can't hear the difference between the V-4 and a VTBASS ->Crown. But there is definitely a difference in pressure. The V-4 moves a lot more air.

First, I have to hop on the V-4B bandwagon. These heads are just fantastic, and one of my favorite tones on the planet:
Here's my (first) 100-watt Pignose B-100v (which has been replaced, but I don't have a pic of the new one yet) along with my (first) 100-watt Trace Elliot Twin Valve Combo:
Here's my second Twin Valve Combo (got both from Steve Azola), which Steve had made a head box for, as well. Please disregard that 300-watter to the right...
Since you lowered the allowable wattage requirement, I feel compelled to post my '66 B-15N (even though these combos have plenty of love here on TB as it is):
And you did say down to 5w, right?
