6 String Acoustic Bass Set

So, recently I've been given the opprotunity to buy a 6 string acoustic bass. Naturally, before I buy anything I have to do a bit of research, and a question arose. Where can I find a set of 6 strings for an acoustic?

I went to juststrings, and they only had one set from TI, and that set was a bit on the pricey side ($110 a set). Are there any others besides these available? If not, I don't suppose it would be feasible to use normal bass strings, would it?

Normal bass strings can be used, but they will not have the bright, punchy sound that phosphor/bronze strings have.

Other than TI, nobody makes a 6-string acoustic bass set. The best you can do is to buy a 5-string set and then buy an individual acoustic guitar string - there's surely one out there that is long enough to fit your bass.

Alain Caron had one made. A fellow TBer had Kinal make a custom 6er for him too. I don't think anyone makes a standard or production model, however.

EDIT: OP, check out JustStrings. It looks like Rotosound and TI sell individual B and C strings. You could grab a cheaper 4 or 5-string set and buy the individual strings from them to complete the set.
