Yup- Tamiya (airplane model paint) Gold metal flake. She was made for Bass Center in LA in the 90's special order. George says the body is alder, with 3 pc thru neck. (which you don't see much these days)
When I bought her from the Gelb consignment shop in N. Cal. -she needed a lot work but sounded great !
Needed:
neck adjustments,
paint flaking off,
fretboard cracks,
and older passive pickups- Had the pickups upgraded to
the new ones along with preamp.

I love how comfortable a six string is to play! I just ordered my third bass from CB basses, and it will be a seven stringer. Not to sure if I should have just ordered another six string!!!
