I think Ive logged 8 hours on this thing already. Stacking arpeggios is amazing with a 6 string. So much freedom for creative basslines and solos. I pulled out the old Pattitucci complete bass method dvd - highly recommend it if you want to get your 6 string chops up.
I presume that numbers are no longer being given out, as the thread starter has not been around for a while?
Here is mine, Ritter Roya 6 with one piece flamed maple and silver inlays.
Please give me a #. It is a Kip Sophos I bought used from a TalkBasser. Thru-neck, Rockwood body, Burled Maple Facing. It weighs a ton but with the wide Italia strap I have no problem making it through a 4-hour gig.
I had a little time to make a slightly better recording with the Fodera Emperor 6- Just some corny smooth jazz stuff... which is weird because I can't say I'm a fan of smooth jazz, but that's just kind of where things went today! Little shimmer reverb and digital tape delay for synthy sounds, practicing palm muting, which I've never really worked on too much before. Just some good clean 6 string fun!

I like that groove you put down for the low end part. Really cool tone from that bass there. The highs are solid, reminds me a bit of my bacchus, but the low end part has a uniqueness to it. Did you use different preamp settings there?
Yeah, I really like the diverse array of tones I can get from this bass. I think I'm only just starting to scratch the surface. I usually keep the eq more or less flat on my bass and amp, but for this one I favored the neck pickup about 10% off dead center, rolled back the tone knob and probably boosted the low freq on the preamp very slightly.
When recording little grooves like this for fun, it's nice to do a little eq-ing to differentiate the parts. I find the 3-band to be very powerful and to my ears it sounds best flat, so I rely on the tone control for most of the tone shaping I need/want.
How's your new 6 treating you??
Its great. Im doing a session with it shortly for a french rock band. Ive shedded hard on it. Logged about 18 hours in 3 days. It just is so fun to play the way the neck feels and the tone responds so well. A great bass is like a really nice scotch - just a lot of depth and bloom past the initial attack of the note. The attack of this is very fundamental and clear and then warms up while it sustains. Its a really nice modern tone and I can dial up the classics as well- the Front pickup P bass like tone and the finger funk tone of the bridge.
Once I'm done with my work I should be able to work on my music again so you guys can hear it.

That's awesome- probably fun to play that in a rock context, but I'm sure will feel even better working on your own stuff. Would love to hear it. More importantly, would you say your bass is a Laphroaig 18, or more of a Glenmorangie 25??
Yup. Found it in a local pawn shop and got a decent price compared to what I was seeing online. I've all but stopped playing my Jazz bass ever since getting my hands on it.
Previous owning an A6, I've played only a 5 string bass with jazz style pickups for 22+ years. After 4 months with the A6 split coil hum-bucker style pickups, I kinda missed the j-bass sound. So I decided to change the stock split coil Bartolini MK1 pickups to dual coil MK6CBC with an on-off-on DPDT switch which enables coil splitting to get j-bass sound and slightly fuller tone j-bass sound, besides the hum-bucker sound.
