Dear Fellaz & Fellazettes, Homies & Homelettes!
Please allow me to join the club as i introduce my basses: an RMI Quantum Dominic Di Piazza Signature & an ESP-LTD B-206SM.
A few months back i read a thread that resonated with me as i was exactly in the same place as the OP: i felt like i had made all the wrong choices getting the basses i had acquired & wanted to get rid of everything to get all new equipment. Well that's what i did. Sold 4 out of 5 basses, and found those two on the second hand market. So happy with how it all turned out. I'll write reviews of both basses as soon as i can!
I still have a Harley Benton BZ-6000 up for sale here in Spain.
So... no one is giving out numbers then??

It is a fantastic bass! The best basses i'd had up til now were a BTB 1206 or 1306 & a Fame Baphomet 6, and this RMI leaves them far behind. I'll sit down to write a proper review once my working week is over, but i can already tell U that i strongly recommend Mark Ramsay's basses (RMI).
So to sum up: build quality is awesome, the bass is really light (chambered body), & it plays fast & feels good under the fingaz. The preamp offers a huge range of possibilities & it also has a passive mode... What more could i ask for?
I had a fretless Baphomet 4 strings once. Didn't like it so much. It was a good bass but the tone was too typical woody for me. Not something that I look for in a fretless.
I've been checking these out on Fleabay. They seem to have quite a selection...4, 5, 6 fretted and fretless. How is it?

I should read a couple of the posts first...
My G Style six with new Aguilar DCB G5 pickups and an OBP-3 preamp installed.
This one has apparently been owned by a few TBers, though I found this at a Guitar Center. The perfect 6er for me, as it's a 33" scale and I can move way faster across the fretboard. It quickly replaced my Warwick Thumb as my main 6.

The string spacing is narrower.
With the original Belcat pickups,the C string had a low volume compared to the other strings.
It needed the Aggie DCB's.
The original preamp did next to nothing.
Replaced that with the OBP-3.
The sound is more round,punchy.
Especially with the push/pull mid engaged.
This cutout is deeper than my Tune basses.
I can play high register chords without jamming my fingers against the cutout.

This thing is solid!

It's a neck through and really resists a willful flex.
It's a thick "D" shape.
My Tunes are a flat "C"
My other two basses will give a little when you pick them up.
This one doesn't.
It's noticeable every time I pick it up.
The neck is straight as a razor.
The GHS Pressurewounds don't seem to pull the neck into relief at all!.
It feels like a baseball bat!
And not in a bad way!

My Douglas has a neck like yours which I much prefer over something like an Ibanez - I'd probably like one of these! Any neck dive? I'm thinking of getting some more Dunlop strap locks for my Douglass so I can mount one in the body and keep the other one external in the horn as it dives a bit.
Any dive?
The upper horn reaches the 13th fret.
In all fairness,it could also be the Comfort Strapp that I always use.

So I went to the used shop to try out some 5 strings and, oops, I came home with 20% more strings than I planned on. It just felt so much better in my hands than the 5s... don't know why, but it did.
Thing was filthy (guys, we don't need to change strings, but if your frets are green...), but a couple hours of cleaning and it's looking pretty.

I play the 5 string BTB Terra Firma BTB685SC as my main bass in the last 5 years or so.So I went to the used shop to try out some 5 strings and, oops, I came home with 20% more strings than I planned on. Now... please fix those DGC strings winding on the tuners. They are supposed to be wound from the other direction so that the string paths are straight for all The strings.
very cool. I don't see the Gerald Veasley models too often. I've always been intrigued by the super narrow spacing.
I had bad luck with a J Ferro Denair 6-string a few years ago, kind of a lemon, and ended up trading it for a 7-string bass that was fun sitting down until I hurt my wrist trying to fret chords. And no fun standing up at 11+ lbs. It lived in its bag after that.
While trying a pedal out in-store just before the 'demic kicked up, I was handed an SRsumnsumn 6-string to test it on, and was shocked at how easy it was to play. Didn't get the pedal but I left curious about the SR 6-string offerings.
Finally, as of last Friday, I'm the proud owner of a sparkly new Ibanez SR1346B, after trading the 7-string and also buying/returning a nice Carvin with dealbreaker issues.
This here is no lemon and I think it's found its forever home. I'm joinin' the club, if I may por favor!
