Very nice! I was just at the shop yesterday dropping a pickup off- I guess I should've seen if a few cool, clean Washington's would've granted me access to a peek!

Can't wait to see the finished product. Is there a full cutaway on both neck (which must look interesting on a doubleneck)? If so, is the fretted neck fretted all the way? I remember Joe telling me they only had jigging to do 26 frets.

No, we decided to keep the fretted neck to 24 frets. We didn't want to make ourselves too crazy!

I have this feeling that each lightswitch in your house is decked out with a Hipshot detuner. Now go try buying THOSE in the lighting department at Home Depot!

Actually the two bridges for this baby are done. They allow for instant access to three tunings for each neck. The necks are also done and all twelve Hipshots appear to be working. As to how many tunings the entire instrument will offer instant access to, the parameters are somewhat complex, but I believe the correct number can be expressed as, "a whole bunch"!

Note that it was 5 years ago that Michael said the bass had already been in development for more years than he could count.
