6 String in fretless?

I really love the Fretless sound and recently have become a fan of 6 string basses. However finding these two in conjunction rather difficult. Could you guys point me towards brands that do it?

you should take a drive to Hamilton and visit Fbass...dosent get any better than that...
but to answer you question, there are quite a few builders that make 6 string fretless.

That is a very beautiful bass (I own the fretted version in sunburst) but it is no longer in production.

Spector makes very good 6 string fretless basses Otherwise you just buy a fretted 6 string and let it defret

Steve Bailey is now endorsed by Warwick and has a 6-string fretless signature model. So While the fender may not be available anymore, the Warwick is.

used carvin 6 string fretless's pop up on ebay and around here pretty often.

your local GC may only have one, if any, but the internet is much vaster.. ebay and the classifieds have your back

I am a six-string bass enthusiast with a fretless in the quiver. It's a bass that was built by Chris Murphy of Boulder CO back in the 90's, and it is very similar to a Warwick with wenge neck-through and bubinga body. Not to stir up any old debate which has most likely been beaten to death here on TB, BUT...
If I had it to do all over, I would definitely get one with lines! It is a lot of neck without any lines especially up above the 12th fret.

If I had the scratch I'd have a Warwick Steve Bailey too. Not that I'm in love with Steve or his playing (I do like his playing though) but since I've been playing the Fender I really love the neck shape.

Now that you mention it, that is surprising. That is one KILLER 6 string! Just the ticket if you want a modern sound. The perfect compliment to the Steve Bailey "old school" expanded to a fretless 6 thing (also available from Low End basses).

As WarwickOfficial stated, they sell many 6-string fretless basses. I am buying a Corvette Bubinga 4-string fretless from 2001 when they were made in Germany. I'm very excited. Currently made in Korea are available in 4, 5, and 6 string. As well as right or left handed and fretted or fretless. Here's the link.

+1. I got a BNF6 about a month ago, I can't put the instrument down. George is an excellent host, and must be an easy ride for you... it is just a matter of giving them a call to schedule a visit, if not to order a bass (totally recommended), it will help you redefine what a 6 string fretless bass should be.
