610/215 combo

What about a used Ampeg 610HLF with one of their old 215 cabs? Or possibly a deep Peavey 215 with black widows?

Might try checking into the Kustom stuff as well... I know they have a cheap 215 cab but I have no clue how it performs or sounds.

Hartke makes a 215, a friend of mine uses one and it's actually a pretty good cab. I've played through his rig before bot live and at their practice space, uses a Peavey Firebass head to run it. Not a bad cab at all for the money.

I'm not to sure about other 610's out there aside from Ampeg, SWR, Genz Benz, Bergantino, and the like.

Peace

im only really interested in matching cabs. lets hear some more about those used bergantinos. know anyone whos selling?

Only interested in matching cabs, but Berg, Schroeder, Eden, and LDS are too pricey:confused:. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If you want a professional looking setup that sounds huge, what makes sense is to pay for it. If you want a 610 and a 215 on the cheap, the player will get what sounds huge and not worry about how it looks if their two primary concerns are A) 610+215 and b)cheap. Can't have your cake and eat it too?

Look for used Bergantino NV cabs.

i totally just forgot i can find swr 610s and 215s for cheap on craigslist, ebay, guitarcenters used section etc. i think im gonna go with that. and i wasnt exactly thinking "wal-mart prices". bergs, and edens aren't exactly the cheapest things in the world incase you didnt realize. just because i dont wanna blow 2000+ dollars away on two cabs doesnt mean that im afraid to spend some money.

LDS isn't expensive by any means. seriously. their standard 610 is $599 w/ a tweeter and $549 without. I'm getting a custom sealed 610 w/o a tweeter done up in vintage tolex and grillcloth, w/ tiltback casters and anything else I wanted for a whopping $606 plus shipping. I don't consider that expensive by any means.

If you need something cheaper, Hartke makes a 215, but no 610... but it's hartke, so you could probably just buy a 410, 210, and a 215 for not a lot of money, throw it all in a pile and you've got... a pile of cheap, crappy cabs. Kidding, kidding. (mostly.)

+1 I didn't know what a steal those cabs are.

The other is today I saw an SWR 610 for $750 but the guy working said the thing had been in there forever and I could make an offer on it and take it away for a nice price.
