Bergantino NV412 is the same size as the NV610 which is the same size as the NV215 which is the same size as the NV425.......

I've got the 412 and have owned the 610 & 215. The NV412 should be definitely on yr list. Goes a Lil deeper and higher than the 610.

Incredible weight difference, the Barefaced is in the range of many 410s. I know which one I would look at.

+2 on the Barefaced Cabs. I personally own a Barefaced Big Twin. These cabs are unreal, as well as the customer service. You wont be able to try one, but they have a warranty - gig with it for about a month and ship back if not satisfied. More details on the website. Simply put, they have the best SPL broadband & low frequency, best polar response (sound as good off axis) great tone. The retro 6 x10 is designed towards a retro, colored sound that emulates vintage 8x10 cabs. It has a hybrid resonator while being a sealed cab- expect the sound of a vintage sealed cab with a substantial extra ooomph down low. Hoo, and at about 65pounds for a 6x10 they are incredibely light, weighting as much as a neo 212 of any other brand.

Using Sadowsky basses. Know anyone who stocks Bergantino in Melbourne. Like to play a cab first. made that mistake before of not playing a cab, didn't suit me at all.

and my bad on the GK, was a 410..i read it wrong. they have an Ampeg 610.

I see Ashdown have discontinued the ABM 610, they now do an ABM-410-UK and ABM-810-UK

Why not a 2x10 to add on your 4x10? I never played an ampeg that I liked, sounds like shouting with your hand on your mouth. Can you try a 2x12?

Loll. What's wrong? Isn't what people do usually? Like having 2 cabs of 1x12? Not that I like it (I have a berg 4x10 and a LoPhat 2x12) but it seems to be a solution for him that a lot of people here do.

The thing is Tallicaman has a SVT-7 pro, which is designed to run @ 4 ohm (optimal) and up only.
Using a matching (same company, design, model etc) 8 ohm 2x10 and a 4 ohm 4x10 cab in parallell is perfectly fine, as long as your head supports a 2.67 ohm load which is not the case here.

210 with a 410 is also a bad idea because the power distribution to each speaker will be disproportionate. The amp doesn't see a 610 with that combo. It sees two units. Assuming they were both 8ohm, the amp would send the same power to the 210 as the 410. Your volume would then be limited by the power limit of the 210. A single 610 would evenly distribute power to all speakers.

I know one local has a Ashdown ABM 610 and a GK 610

You can't generalize like that. I mean, lots of guys do, but it couldn't be more incorrect. Every driver's different. So's every cab. It's all about the specific drivers/boxes. Excellent 15 are around. Full-range & LF. There's no better bang-for-the-buck, pound for pound (or kilo for kilo, I suppose ) than 15s, imho. They. Rule. The. Roost.

Unless, like the Tricky one states in post #30, the 410 is 4-ohms, the 210 is 8-ohms, & the amp supports a 2-ohm load. In this scenario, each individual 10 see the exact same RMS.

^^^ Oui. But your amp won't support the 2.67-ohm load. You won't fry your amp immediately, but you will eventually. And it'd likely be sooner rather than later.

The Berg NV610 is my dream cab. Mine's older, does not have the tweeter, but I don't miss it at all: I often run overdrive or distortion, which usually does not sound good through a tweeter. Of course many tweeters can be turned down or off, but I don't miss the tweeter even when I'm using clean tones.

Obviously some will prefer a cab with ports and a tweeter: they have a fuller-range sound. That includes those who prefer Acme-style cabs that go way down to 30Hz. Note that a full-range cab might sound better than a sealed cab in the showroom, but to me, the midrange focus of the NV610 is perfect, especially at the gig. I play BEADG five string, and can get all the bottom I want, and the low end remains tight, not blurry/rumbly. And I already mentioned why tweeterless works for me.

Bottom line: as with most topics here on TalkBass, there is no overall best, just what works best for a particular player, and that decision is based on the player's technique, the other gear he's using, and (probably most of all) his personal preference. I agree that if the OP likes his Ashdown 4x10, then the Ashdown 6x10 (if available) would probably be a safe bet.

And my dream box has now evolved into a MAS215, although it hasn't been released yet & I think it hasn't even reached the final part of development. Info's still sketchy. Wouldn't surprise me if it ends up not being available 'til '16. Not so bad. More time to sell gear to raise funds cause it sure ain't gonna be no cheapie . So, make offers on my stuff .
