'62 pick-ups

I don't know the difference between what's in the MIM P and if the Fender '62 or if it's different or not. If looking at other options, while I'm sure you'd get lots of different opinions - and there are great options with the Fralins, Lollars and others - I can say I had a Duncan Antiquity in a reissue P-bass and the pickup sounded very, very close to the original in my '59.

and quite a difference in price
the '62 pickups are available for $60
whereas the Fralins are $140 !!!
all depends on what you're willing to pay
i think the Fender original pickups are great
and sound fantastic as an upgrade to the stock ones
i did it in my old MIM p bass
i wanted Nordstrand NP4 or Fralins
but can't afford the price tag right now
maybe some day !
