Broken solder joints reduce the collector value.
But that's assuming you are planning on selling the bass to make money. A non working bass might be great for collectors, but useless to musicians.
Collectors have ruined the trade on old basses by making them ridiculously expensive.
IMO no one should buy a bass because of resale value, unless you plan on keeping it in the case and never playing it. Basses that don't get played don't sound that great either.
