Been there, done that (is what my wife says, anyway). We had a LOT of fun on our trip there, and got to meet and hang out with some great people (even you, Gard). But, I think this year she is looking to go somewhere that doesn't revolve completely around me and what I want to do.:D

Anthony Wellington has a great story. His former wife was giving him some grief about how many basses he had, and he replied "There was a time when I had 1 bass and 20 girlfriends." That's the short version, anyway. The story kills in person when he tells it...

Gard left this in my email this morning.......:hyper:

No, I think it is going to actually do the opposite of suck.:)

Also, (and I just PM'd you about this, Greg) there is a change being made to the order.

Instead of the Bart J pickups in the JB positions, I am going with Bart CB soapbars in the JB positions, like a Zon Sonus Custom Special has.

Interesting...

Bass looks great!

On a tangent (in keeping with Roscoe thread tradition) Greg has one on order that I am thinking about - mahogany body, bubinga top - that I'd like to switch from the J to JB pups to "match" my fretless. Love the mahogany body.

I decided to go with the soapbars based on PM's exchanged with TB'r jibreel (modded his fretless Roscoe by moving the neck pickup back next to the bridge pickup), and based on a ******** of video clips of Zon Custom Special fretless basses (and yes, guys, I do realize that this is a Roscoe, not a Zon, but the differences I heard between a Zon Sonus Special and a Zon Sonus Custom Special should translate to similar differences between a Roscoe with J pickups in the JB locations, and a Roscoe with soapbars in the JB location;)) I found myself preferring the slightly fatter sound of the soapbars, every time.

So, an order change was made.
