'70s Fender Precision love

I have no reason to post these pics, other than to satisfy those (like me) that have a soft spot for the '70s Fender look and feel..I personally love the natural finish and the TV logo - so, if you've got some passion for the much debated, but (if you pick the right one) great sounding and looking '70s Fenders - ENJOY..;)

My 74' on the left (Tony Franklin on right). All natural wear after being played by the same guy for 39 years. I got it from that fellow last year, cleaned it up, popped a bridge cover on it, and its been good to me ever since, and will continue to do so for as long as I could imagine (I'm not one to sell a good bass). Sits better in a mix than any bass I've ever played in a group setting with before.

I have owned a few, and I love them! I am painfully waiting for my new '73 to arrive TOMORROW via FedEx. All original, and 8.7 lbs with covers! Rare black bobbin pickups too. This is my favorite 70's color combination. I love the mocha ones too.

Nice. Looks just like my '76 which is also a lightweight.

Here's my '72 neck'd fretless.

Question, I read an article awhile back by Dan Erlewine about fender neck profiles over the years in which he mentioned they made some p basses with a light U profile in the early 70's.

Mine definitely has this, (I love this profile) but I was just wondering if any of you have seen/felt this in a 70's p as well?

I've played worked on a several early 70's fenders, I even played with another '72 fretless and I've never felt another one with this profile.
