70's reissue Jazz Bass

They are a special order item now. And getting hard to find. MF and GC sell them for 1799.99
I have a USA 1975 RI Jazz that is amazing. I put SCN pups and a BAII bridge in it and it is smooooth like butta'.

Hope we are talking about the same bass mine is the Geddy Lee Artist Series Jazz Bass it comes standard with the Badass and the thinner neck and Vintage tuners though Geddy himself says they are going to upgrade these on the newer ones coming out. Still solid amazing bass IMO.

I'm not sure but these appear to be part of the "Classic series" made in Mexico. Fender specs indicate it has USA pickups, bridge and a 4-bolt neck plate.
I need to read through my Fender books again perhaps this model is the combination of the early 70s and late 70s Jazzes without the micro-tilt system.

Unique features:

White Fingerboard Binding,
White Pearloid Block Inlay,
Synthetic Bone Nut,
Vintage Styling,
"Bullet" Truss Rod Adjustment Nut,
4-Bolt Neck Plate

They look pretty bad@$$ to me. I play a '93 MIJ '75 RI... sunburst w/ maple neck and pearl inlays. It's friggin' sweet! With my crushed blue velvet strap I feel 1000% sexier when I strap it on. (Of course anything times zero is STILL zero.)

Yeah.. pretty nice lookin' if you ask me. This about makes up for not being able to import look alike Japanese basses any longer. Pricing is $1049.95 with street expectations of around $700. Bingo, right on the money too!
