'77 pbass pups

I'm having doubts about the pups being original although the rest of the instrument is pristine and plays wonderfully. How can I tell if the pups are original for that bass ?

The bottoms of the pickup will be a grey color and a number on each half of the pickup the last two numbers are the date in your case 77.
