8 Jazz Bass Pickups test on youtube

...the feeling responce to the player,me, is a little bit more differ by each pickups.
That’s what I’m curious about, the feel of each set. Which sets seemed easier to get the sound you wanted, and which sets required a little more effort.

Also, is the #2 Duncan CS Linear Humbucker set the same as the Duncan Apollo set? @Zoobiedood , any insight?

Amalfitano, Best feeling of these. Easy to play, feeling fun.
Klein, need a little effort to obtain good low.
Fender Vintage 62, need care to put too much finger power due to the low output.(More careful pickup height setting may help this) .

Duncan CS Linear Humbucker is the same pickup as Apollo.
Spec., material, manufacturing method is identical.
Only the difference is it is from CS line or not. (The master builder of CS line may take more care to
make this.)
This story is from Duncan's User support.

Add one thing, CS humbucker has very good looking pickup case.
It has good feeling matte finish, and No-Logo(Option).

Next you should test (and we will be glad to save our money in this regard ehm..) the Aguilar AG 4J-HC, best split coil jazz pickups heard so far IMO

The CS version came before the production pickup, and the CS pickup of course is made by the girls & guys in the Custom Shop rather than on the production floor. You can also specify a lot more options with the CS version.

I like Hum canceling JB pickups. I have had used many this kind of pickups such as:

Dimarzio ULTRA JAZZ
Bartolini 9CBJD-1
Bartolini 9CBJD-3
Delano JC4-HE/M2
Nordstrand NJ4SV
Nordstrand NJ4SE
Suhr Humphrey JB
Duncan Custom Shop Linear Humbucker
Duncan Apollo

And Now, I am using NJ4SV to obtain modern sounding.
Also, using Duncan Apollo & CS Linear humbucker for smooth tone purpose.

For Aguilar.
I once ordered AG 4J-HC. But it was broken(no sound. may breaking of wire).
I did not replace that. Just returned. No more stocks in Japan at that time. might take much time.
