Saul Koll "KOLL" is building me an 8 string bird- EADG with octaves and i have no clue on spacing. Ive played hamers and they seem comfortable enough but in dallas cant find a store with one in stock to study. Anyone care to offer up some advise? Thanks

Mine is 11mm at the nut.
There aren't a lot of bridge choices out there for 8s, so I suggest you start there and work out the spacing based on that.

Makes sence. He's having to fabricate the bridge bc those tune o matic are IMPOSSIBLE to find. That's why I was asking. I'm not going with the single bridge.

The root strings on mine are 19mm apart, and each one's matching octave is 4mm above it's root string.

It has a 1.75" nut.

As far as I know, it's fairly wide necked for a dual course 8er, though.
