I'm thinking of getting a 8x10, or a 2x4x10 from mesa boogie, ampeg, or markbass.
8x10 is awesome, I played one a few days ago at my local ampeg importer, and when I felt the rumble of this amazing cab, with a tube amp, it was amazing how easy it is to shut up all the guitar players around to tried out amps... To say the truth..? I had to change my underware afterwards.
But... And it's a big but... It's a really heavy cab.
Getting a 2x4x10 would be better in case I don't want to carry a heavy beast like a 8x10, and more compact in case I do need a 8x10.
Though I don't know what's the difference amp wise, and how it'll respond.
I tried the Ampeg, and it's amazing, but I don't have a Mesa Boogie dealer close by, and I heard that the Markbass amps aren't that good on the low end should.
What do you guys thing about Markbass, Ampeg and Mesa Boogie?
Thanks, Edgar.
