9.6volt micro pog?

so i finally dropped the cash and got myself a very nice, and in my opinion, ultimate octave pedal for my rig. now... i have had some problems already with adding it to the board. my signal seems to be dropping out and coming back at random.

my signal chain goes: bass > micro pog > tech21 pbddi > boss bass chorus > phase 90 > boss dd-3 > tuner > amp.

i power the setup with a godlyke daisy chain setup and i think the model number of it is pa-9. now, on the little instruction card that came with the micro pog, it said it runs on a 9.6 v power supply. the daisy chain setup i have says it can power up to 9 (i think) 9 volt pedals.

could the 9.6 volt micro pog in the daisy chain be the cause of the problem? i did do some minor trouble shooting, checking each stomp box individually and each patch cable i have. no problems, but right now, i'm only using my micro pog, pbddi, and my tuner. i really like having the chorus, and (thanks to some studio magic) i now need the delay. i really don't NEED the phaser, but i think Bootsy Collins would be a little disappointed in me if i didn't have it :smug:

any ideas? i tried to be as specific as possible, and any help is extra appreciated. i know i can count on you TalkBassers to have a couple of suggestions.

The problem is not the voltage but the amperage. The Micro Pog requires 200mA (quite high for an effect pedal). Your power supply for your daisy chain is putting out less or your other effects are not leaving enough left over (EX: If your power supply puts out 300mA but your other pedals (together) use 110mA that's not enough left over for your Micro Pog).

Many effects boards with built in power have the same problem with effects like the Micro Pog because their individual 9vt outputs still only put out 100mA max each.

I have a Micro Pog along with many other pedals being powered by a DC Brick. Normally this would be the same problem as you but I power the Brick with a third party power supply that actually puts out 1.9A (1900mA) so I have plenty of mA's to go around.

You will either need to power the Micro Pog separately with it's own supply or get a different 9vt supply for your daisy chain that supplys more amperage.

well, thanks guys, for the help. i found the problem... and it wasn't even close to what i thought it was. it appears the input jack on my dd-3 is screwed up. i'm not sure exactly what is wrong with it, but one of my guitar playing buddies came over today and asked if he could play with my delay. when he plugged into it, the pedal cut in and out.

really weird. i've never had a problem with a boss pedal in my guitar playing days... wich kinda goes to show how old that pedal is. time for a new delay....

i really appreciate the help!!

now... to pick out a new delay pedal... i love buynig stuff!!!;)

It depends on how many mA his other pedals are eating. Yours (pedal setup) may (and probably is) be different.

I was pretty clear about this. Must read and comprehend, Grasshoppah. ;)

So it wasn't just the Micro Pog dropping out but the whole chain. This was not clear in the original post.

The power supply he stated he uses is rated at 1700ma.
WAY more than enough to power what he has.

The problem was kinda obvious in his original post.
He removed the delay and the chorus and had no further problems.
Seems like that narrowed it down to one of those 2 pedals having a bad jack (most likely).

I don't know about a micro-pog drawing 200ma (I'll take your word for that) but all his other pedals combined probably use about 50ma total.
