White vs mint. Definitely different.

Here D looks to have a kind of cream pickguard, and B is plain white.

B is white, D is mint. Check your monitor settings.

Sticking with what I said in the old thread.. Black looks great with that neck.

But the white looks good as well. I think the mint is just a bit too "green on green"

Although my hot rod strat is Sherwood Green with a mint/parchment guard (looks a bit more parchment-y than mint, and I think it looks great. But the surf and mint green are so close that I personally think it looks a bit odd.

Neck A should be the only neck with black blocks... black blocks does not work with the others, they should have abilone dots or blocks.. Go do it again and make it right.

The reason I ask is because I have this body sitting here doing nothing.

It's ultra lightweight alder, Seafoam Green, and just a really nice body. I also have this early 70's tort guard, a set of Duncan Vintage Jazz pups, control plate, bridge, etc. I'm sure I have a white PG here too.

I also bought a Squier VM Jazz neck (with black blocks) today for $80, so I figured I'd use that, even though my preference would be rosewood or RW/blocks.

I don't mind buying a different guard. Even if I buy a guard and get tuners, I'll be well under $300 into this bass.

Anyway, it should make an interesting bass, but I was curious to see what everyone preferred for a guard.

I love the mint. My only other choice would be white pearl.

Black. Goes well with the inlays. Pearl guard and inlays would look sexy too.

I chose the black for the sharp contrast of colors, the white would do well with it also but I just think the black really sets it off.
