A bass that I find very interesting...

Found a video demo.... seems to have lots of low mid vibe, but lacking a bit of high end clarity for me.
Absolutely loving their guitar tone though.

Woa! Different. But I don’t care for that bass tone at all. Lacks clean note attack and definition. Also sounds overly middy and tubby to my ears. And not in a good way. Somewhat similar in timbre to those oil can guitars and basses you run into over in the cigarbox guitar world. Nothing intrinsically wrong with it. Just not my cuppa.

Note: It might be just the demo player, but if that’s the best slap tone you can get out of it then nobody who is into slap is going to give it a second thought.

I love 'way outside the box' designs that seem to work, and like the Japanese, Germans can have quite an extreme design ethos. This is a very though-provoking minimalist design to be sure, but I enjoy anything that makes me stop and think that while you can't re-invent the wheel, man, you can sure have lots of different wheels. This guy must be a Leica shooter, it's every bit as elemental as an M camera.

I like the magnetic mount pickup idea but I can think of a couple of issues if the player jumps around a lot or rests their thumb on the pickup it might move around.

I was thinking the same. It reminds me of that bent plywood and steel tubing furniture they used to do.

I think they would. Their design credo seem to be: ‘simplicity and minimalism.’

Fretless is even more minimalist.

I was surprised by the sound of it, I was imaging it being more thin tonewise based on the design but I was wrong.

in all seriousness I'd buy it if it wasnt around 2500 CAD, it's one of those designs were it screams "try me!". Then again, I'm the type of guy who likes the design of the basslab composite basses.
